The Darmstadt Rhine Main Neckar Region is a front runner: top in future prospects, top in innovation, top in networking science and industry. We are the leaders, and this position in all these different rankings means we cannot afford to stand still. We must continue to ensure that it is worthwhile for you to invest here and that you profit from your investments here in the long term as well. Then, enterprises and jobs will stay here and new ones will be added.

Creating a favourable business environment – this is the target of our Regional Economic Policy Division. We support entrepreneurs by campaigning for accessibility, so that the region can be reached easily by road, rail, waterway or by air. Your enterprise should only have short distances to travel and thus be fast moving. We make sure that synergies with neighbouring regions can be exploited. To ensure that you have room for expansion, we initiate the designation of industrial and commercial areas in the towns and local communities.

We are committed to preserving the attractiveness of the town centres in our region. Then in the competition to attract the „best brains”, those locations and companies will win which can offer an excellent living environment as well as interesting work.

We support entrepreneurs:

• by representing their interests in spatial planning in the formulation of land use and building plans
• by carrying out business surveys in the region which enterprises can use as a planning basis
• in locational marketing, by analysing the unmistakeable strengths of the region and giving it a profile with which it can distinguish itself from others in the fierce competition between regions.
